The
dictionary defines a coach as a person who gives
instruction.
A simple definition that can and should mean so much
more.
What
is Coaching?
Firstly let’s quickly touch on what it is not,
therapy. It does not analyze your past. You should
not turn to coaching if you are in crisis.
A
personal coach is not in your life to force, manipulate
or direct your choices. Your coach will however motivate,
support, honour and remain committed to your dreams.
Coaching offers an objective, accountable framework
for working towards your passion and authenticity. It
is a partnership that focuses on you and what you want
most out of life.
This
unique and personal relationship supports the whole
person and embraces emotional, spiritual and physical
growth.
What
does coaching look like? Along with a schedule of organized
weekly sessions (either by phone or in person) a coach
will introduce a variety of accountability exercises,
homework assignments, support correspondence and insightful
questions into your relationship. Support, encouragement
and celebration, it is a simple but effective model.
You
may find yourself discussing problems, insights, breakthroughs,
dilemmas, complaints, promises, feelings and fears with
your coach. The agenda is directed by you and your needs.
Welcoming
a coach into your life is rewarding and along with hard
work comes reflection, acceptance and a strong foundation
for your life.

What
My Clients Say About Coaching
“In
my six months with Karen, I have learned to prioritize
my needs and wants all while learning about why I am
feeling the way I am. Karen has fast become a huge part
of my support team and an invaluable part of my life.
Although I was initially skeptical, I am now a true
believer in the process and would recommend Karen to
anyone looking for coaching.”
